Wallpaper Sticker

Every renovation of a living or work space is always accompanied by the replacement of old and faded wallpaper with new ones.
Before starting the main work, it is necessary to remove the previously pasted wallpaper. This is often quite problematic, as the material is tightly glued to the wall surface and is torn off at random. In order to simplify this process at times and save time and nerves, old wallpaper strips should be thoroughly moistened with ordinary water. The old glue between the paper and the wall softens and becomes viscous. That is why, after a few minutes, the strips of old wallpaper can be completely removed without any problems.
The next step is to get rid of all the irregularities on the wall. The depressions are carefully covered with a finishing plaster mixture, and various bulges are cut off with a sharp tool. If the wall is uneven enough, then you will have to apply an additional layer of plaster.
After the surface is completely dry, you can begin the basic work of applying new wallpaper. Previously, it is necessary to exclude the presence of a draft in the room by closing all windows and doors in the apartment. Otherwise, all efforts will eventually come to naught: the wallpaper will begin to move away from the wall surface one by one.
It is necessary to start the sticker from the far corner, closest to the window opening, taking into account a small overlap on the adjacent wall panel. To this end, you should not regret the glue, the corner is the most problematic element of all walls and it is necessary to lubricate it with an adhesive substance abundantly. Then the entire wall surface is treated to the width of the new wallpaper plus five centimeters with a margin. If this is required by the specifics of the wallpaper material, then it is necessary to apply glue to the inside of the pre-cut roll.
Measurements must be made every time to cut the required strip length from a roll of wallpaper. It's no secret that even in new buildings, the ceiling height may vary by several centimeters at different points.
After applying a layer of glue, you can proceed to the main stage. As you know, wallpaper can be glued joint to joint or in a whip. The first option is more practical and more acceptable. In order to maximize the tight fit of the roll to the wall and avoid unnecessary air bubbles, the entire surface of the wallpaper should be rolled with a foam roller in a herringbone pattern. It is necessary to roll from the center to the edges.
All process holes for electrical outlets and switches can be carefully cut out with an ordinary stationery knife after all gluing work is completed. https://xbae.ch/
